"Thornproof wax is a lustrous wax with deep colour and even touch. Barbour Wax Cotton materials are all manufactured exclusively to Barbour’s own unique specification. The material is made from finest 100% Cotton and is treated with special oil and wax to ensure it is totally wind and waterproof. It is available in heavy or medium weight finishes and can easily be re-proofed."
Sylkoil Wax: A traditional waxed Thornproof fabric with a dry and aged finish. Sylkoil wax is traditional unshorn wax. The cotton comes straight from the loom and is dyed and waxed. The natural imperfections of weave are reflected in the rich variations of colour and finish. Very popular due to its lack of ‘waxy’ odour and dry feel. It is soft, flexible and non-sticky oil proofed natural Cotton that drapes superbly, bringing extra workability to the tailoring and cut, and gives more comfort and style to the wearer. It is available in heavy or medium weight finishes.
