raw denim

Hello everyone, I am new to this raw denim world and also not German fluent so I can't read your advise in this thread.

I bought a pair of selvage (?) denim from Edwin 11oz.
What should I do? Wash them? Use without wash?

Upload a photo, so we can check if it selvedge or not.

If they are raw, i would just simply start to wear them without washing. But that is only my opinion. In general, there is no wrong or right. I just enjoy breaking in the stiff fabric right from the start.

If the denim is too stiff for your taste, throw them in the Bathtub or in the sink and let them soak in cold water for an hour or two. This will remove the starch form the denim and will make your jeans feel softer.

So, und jetzt auf deutsch eine andere Frage:

Ich habe neulich mein erstes Maßhemd abgeholt und daraufhin habe ich gemerkt, dass ich meine Hemden jahrelang eine Größe zu klein gekauft habe. Und ich hatte mich schon immer gewundert, warum die Hemden so komisch passen... naja. Ich hake das mal unter "Lehrgeld" ab.

Betroffen von diesen Fehlkäufen ist leider auch ein Jeanshemd (von Nudie). Nun bin ich gerade schon auf der Suche nach einem passendem (im wahrsten Sinne das Wortes) Ersatz.

Darum meine Frage an euch: welche Erfahrungen habt ihr mit Hemden aus Raw Denim gemacht, welche Marken könnt ihr empfehlen?

Iron Heart sind sehr gut, bei denen gibt es zwei Modelle, den Worker und den Western schnitt, beide gibt es in endlosen Stoffen unter anderem in 7.5 und 13oz Denim und in einem schwarzen Denim, welche Konfiguration du da nimmst ist Geschmacksache.

Indigofera Fargo, selber Fall wie bei IH, gibt es in endlosen Material Kombinationen inkl. Leder.

Momotaro hatte ich schon mehrfach in der Hand auch schön gemacht.

Stevenson macht ein schönes was aber sehr Cowboy ist das muss man mögen.

Welche Richtung suchst du denn, schwer oder ehr leicht, Western oder work ?
 
Which model is it? EDxx?

11oz shouldn't be that stiff, so you could just wear it out of the box, or soak it like explained before, both is fine and up to you.
